Ubisoft Accidentally Leaks Splinter Cell: Conviction Xbox One Backward Compatibility

Fans of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction will be glad to hear that Ubisoft published an image accidentally that confirmed the game is backward compatible with the Xbox One game console. The announcement appears to have been accidental because the game hadn’t yet turned up on the Xbox One “Ready to Install” section showing that it is now compatible.

The image that was published can be seen below. Not too long after the image was published accidentally, the game was confirmed as backward compatible by Microsoft’s Larry Hryb on twitter. Conviction finally gaining backward compatibility is a big deal for lots of Xbox fans.

Windows Central reports that fans of the title have been clamoring for it to get backward compatibility since backward compatibility was originally announced years ago. The title was one of the most popular in the Splinter Cell franchise.
