TRENDnet Announces Next Gen AC1750 Dual Band Wireless Router

Dual band AC routers are popping out all over and now TRENDnet has announced the TEW-812DRU. This bad boy is capable of producing one band over wireless N at 450Mbps for your everyday devices plus another 1.3Gbps bandwidth on the AC band for streaming HD media to your TV and other media devices. TRENDnet built it to handle multiple HD streams simultaneously for the well connected home. It also offers Multiple User MIMO technology so the router can communicate with multiple devices at once so as to get the best possible efficiency. The router also accepts USB flash or NAS drive inputs to share media across the network. Of course, gigabit ports are available for fast wired connections as well.

One really nice feature is the ability to mange isolated guest networks for when you have company. The router also leverages what TRENDnet terms “Beamforming technology” which directs the strongest signals where it’s needed the most. Expect to see it available later this month for araound $229.99 MSRP.

Plug in a USB flash or network attached storage drive to share HD videos and music across the network. Gigabit ports on the back of the router maintain high speed wired connections. Create a secure isolated guest network for guest internet access. Beamforming technology directs the strongest signal to each connected device. Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) connects other WPS supported wireless adapters at the touch of a button. Manage access to websites and file types with advanced access controls.
