The Largest GPU Cooler Ever Seen on an AMD Radeon HD 7970

We didn’t find that the AMD Radeon HD 7970 ran that hot when we reviewed it, but it appears that Yeston is releasing a custom cooling solution that looks to be large enough to cool any video card on the market today. The cooler looks like it is using two massive 120mm cooling fans that use 18 blades each. Under the fans you’ll find a copper base with six copper heatpipes going to a large stack of aluminum cooling fins that go nearly the length of the PCB. The GPU cooler is so massive it looks like it takes up at least 3 PCI slots!

he 12cm fan is a dual fan convection design, the wind increased 70% effective to prevent the loss of air flow, twice the pressure fan in general, beyond the scope of romantic imagination, quickly and effectively take away the heat, the use of 12cm another benefit is that level of fan: low number of revolutions can bring the amount of wind noise than 7cm or 9cm fan is much lower. The left side PWM fan is temperature regulation, cooling for the GPU and the surrounding, and the right fan is a constant speed, can take away some of the heat supply. Yeston also said gamers HD7900 series graphics cards coming soon, this radiator will then make a final adjustment to face the majority of the players look forward to, interested players may wish to sustained attention.
