Tencent wants to team with Nintendo to attract console gamers in the U.S. and Europe according to a new report. Tencent is a massive company based in China, and the report indicates that it wants to learn the essence of making console games for gamers outside of China.

Tencent wants to reach outside of China after the country imposed a game curfew on people under the age of 18. “What we want is to expand from China, and one target is console game players in the U.S. and Europe,” a Tencent official said. “We hope to create console games with Nintendo characters, and learn the essence of making console games from Nintendo engineers.”

Eurogamer reports that another Tencent official said that Nintendo games aren’t designed to make people pay a lot of money. The Chinese firm is also said to be shifting to create games specifically for females and to tailor existing games at women.

The company sees women as the driving force between the growth in the gaming market. As for the type of female-focused games, reports indicate romance games, which has a big fan base inside China.
