HD Tune Pro 3.50

HD Tune Pro 3.50 is an extended version of HD Tune which includes many new features such as write benchmark, secure erasing, AAM setting, folder usage view, disk monitor, command line parameters and file benchmark. With the drive being the only one in the system we will only be able to get read numbers with some of the HD Tune tests.

Stock SSD HD Tune Results

Starting with the stock Asus SSD we can see the results are similar to HD Tach: average read of 32.9 MB/s, access time of 0.6ms and CPU usage of 3.3%

Super Talent FPM64GLSE HD tune Results

It is the same with the Super Talent drive. It had an average of 100.9 MB/s, 0.2ms access time and CPU usage of 7.1%

64MB File Test

With the only drive in the system being the one we are testing, write tests have not been able to be done due to the drive not being blank. With the HD Tune File Benchmark the drive doesnt have to be blank.

Stock SSD HD Tune 64MB File Results

Looking at the stock Asus drive we can see just how slow the stock drive really is. The read speeds are similar to what we have already seen, but the first write numbers dont even get to 10 MB/s.

Super Talent FPM64GLSE HD Tune 64MB File Results

With the Super Talent drive on the other hand, read speeds we have seen just over 100 MB/s and the first write numbers are around 75 MB/s.
