Sony “Try PlayStation VR” Program Sells Out

By

Sony really wants gamers to be interested in its PlayStation VR virtual reality headset. To stoke interest in the system Sony emailed “select” PlayStation Plus members and offered to allow them to try out a PSVR in their own home. The trial used a very nice PSVR bundle that carries a retail price of $299 if the gamers wanted to keep it.

That bundle included a PlayStation VR, PlayStation Camera, PlayStation Move controller, PlayStation VR Demo Disc 2.0, and a copy of The Elder Scrolls5: Skyrim VR. The offer was made to 1,400 people and the program is completely sold out now reports PCMag.

The deal gives the gamers 14 calendar days to try the system back in good condition or be charged for it. That is a very good deal as the bundle typically sells for more than that. We have no detail on how many of those 1400 people decided to keep the kit.

There is also come confusion about whether the credit card has a hold put on it for the entire purchase price when it ships to the gamers home. The program was a good move on Sony’s part and the fact that, so many gamers took them up o the offer proves that.
