Sony Has Sold 3 Million PS VR Headsets Since Launch

The vast majority of the people with PS4 consoles in their homes around the world dont have the PS VR headset. The accessory hasnt been a must have for most gamers so far. Despite most folks never having used the PS VR, the headset has been reasonably popular since it launched.

Sony has announced that it has sold 3 million PS VR units since launch and to celebrate that milestone two new games have been announced and discounts are being offered on all sorts of PS VR titles. The two new games include Creed: Rise to Glory and it is a VR boxing game with pre-orders going now, it’s set to launch September 25. The other new game is a shooter called Evasion that will launch October 9 and is up for pre-order now.

Sony is also talking up the ten most popular games on the PS VR platform with the top The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, PlayStation VR Worlds, Rec Room, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, The Playroom VR, Job Simulator, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Batman: Arkham VR, Farpoint, and Superhot VR. Those are the top ten games for PS VR in order of popularity. Sony is also having something it calls the Totally Digital Sale.

That sale sees pre-order discounts of up to 20% on PS VR titles and up to 40% off on other digital games with PS Plus members getting 60% off some titles. Sony recently announced it had sold 500 million PS4 consoles since launch.
