I know I’m not the only person who has ever looked at a tiny microSD card and wondered how they got all that storage capacity inside. SanDisk has now created a new microSDXC card that is the highest capacity memory card in the world. This tiny card has 400 GB of storage capacity and has transfer speeds of up to 100 MB/s.

SanDisk says that is enough speed to transfer up to 1200 photos in a minute. The memory card is also A1-Rated so it can launch apps faster making nit the perfect memory card for Android devices that have 4K video and photo capability.

The memory card has full support for the SanDisk Memory Zone App. That app allows the user to find, store, organize, and transfer data including tagged content from Facebook and Instagram. The card can store up to 40 hours of full HD video.

“Mobile devices have become the epicenter of our lives, and consumers are now accustomed to using their smartphones for anything from entertainment to business. We are collecting and sharing massive amounts of data on smartphones, drones, tablets, PCs, laptops and more. We anticipate that storage needs will only continue to grow as people continue to expect more sophisticated features on their devices and desire higher quality content,” Jeff Janukowicz, research vice president, IDC. “We estimate mobile device users worldwide will install over 150 billion applications alone this year, which require a ton of memory on all of our favorite devices.”

The memory card has a ten year warranty and isn’t cheap. The SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I memory card costs $249.99 which is not cheap. The smartphone you plan to use the card in also naturally needs to support microSDXC cards.
