Rosewell R6XR8-BK ATX Computer Case

I have always heard of and seen Rosewill products on the virtual store shelves, but never really had the pleasure of using any of their products. I have seen Rosewill products in the marketplace since at least 2004, but I was shocked to hear that they were founded in 2004. Rosewill is a China-based manufacturer that is owned by ABS which in turn started and now is a subsidiary of Newegg. This was certainly a shock to me and I’m sure that I am not the only one. Looking at the Rosewill website we find a short ‘about us’ blurb that can be read below.

Not long ago we had an idea – bring quality hardware and affordable prices together. From that idea Rosewill was born. Formed from a top team of hardware professionals, Rosewill is dedicated to our mission to compete and win on price, quality, and service. We work only with the best partners – businesses we know and businesses we trust.

Now we know who owns Rosewill, and that they offer an impressive product line that ranges from adapters to cables to power supplies and just about everything in between. Today, I get the pleasure of reviewing the R6XR8-BK mid-tower computer case, which is one case out of Rosewills new 6x series of cases. Its many features include:

  • Thermally Advantaged Chassis for high performance Intel & AMD Systems
  • 0.8mm SECC Japanese cold rolled Steel
  • Screw-less For 5.25″ Device Advantaged Air Guide & PCI express venting Hole (CAG 1.1)
  • Screw-less For 3.5″Device
  • Screw-less For 3.5″ HDD (With Shock-proof rubber pad)
  • Vertical sliding HDD cage
  • No screws needed to secure the left side panel
  • Smooth edges to provide greater safety for users
  • Included Front and Back 120mm fans
  • Front I/O panel

Again, being new to Rosewill and reading what the case had to offer, I was excited to review the R6XR8-BK and hoped that it wouldnt disappoint. Lets see what happens!

Packaging:

Rosewell R6XR8-BK Box

The case arrived in a mono color cardboard box, nothing fancy, weighing 15 pounds. It was light enough to easily carry with one arm.

Rosewell R6XR8-BK Cloth

For additional protection the case is wrapped in a white felt cloth as oppose to the usual clear plastic wrapping.
