Resident Evil TV Series Tipped for Netflix

Netflix has some fantastic original shows and movies. It also has some junk on the network, but not everything can be as awesome as “The Punisher” or “Stranger Things.” Netflix is no stranger to making shows based on video game properties; it already has “Castlevania” for instance. A new rumor is going around that another TV show based on a video game is in the works.

This new show is said to be a “Resident Evil” series that promises to “expand the Resident Evil universe and deepen the existing mythology.” News of the series arrives just as the “Resident Evil 2” remake is set to launch for gamers to enjoy.

The series would be produced by a German production firm called Constantin Film, the same company that produced the six movies in the franchise. As for what the show will be about, Engadget writes that it will give a look inside Umbrella Corporation among other things.

As for actors involved in the project, Milla Jovovich isn’t expected to be involved in the series. There is no indication of when the series might land and no official confirmation from Netflix.
