PUBG Mobile Hits 100M Downloads in 4 Months

PUBG has hit another milestone with the game racking up 100 million downloads on mobile devices in the four months since the game launched. That number of downloads counts both iOS and Android downloads. As good as that sounds, PUBG is well behind the leader in the battle royale genre, Fortnite.

Fortnite hit 100 million downloads on iOS alone in late July. Fortnite might be beating PUBG in just about every metric these days, but that doesnt mean that PUBG isnt making some loot. Reports indicate that PUBG on mobile has raked in $50 million.

“We want to thank our committed development team at Lightspeed and Quantum Studios and especially thank the devoted players around the world that continue to inspire us with their passion and dedication,” PUBG Mobile general manager Vincent Wang said. “We will continue to set the bar for mobile gaming and look to deliver even more great contents to our players later this year.”

PUBG and Fortnite are fighting it out not only for games and money but in court as well. PUBG Corp was the first in the battle royale genre and has claimed that Fortnite violated its copyrights. PUBG Corp dropped that suit in June.
