Prices for Intel’s Upcoming Ivy Bridge-E Processors Leaked

By

The leaked specs and prices for seven next-generation multi-core Core i7 chips were posted on the Chinese-language site VR-Zone this week. We are not sure if the prices or specs are right, but they appear to be in the ball park for Intel’s upcoming lineup of “Ivy Bridge-E” processors. This should provide some good info to those that have been waiting on these high-end LGA-2011 desktop processors to come out.

The flagship Intel Ivy Bridge-E CPU would be the Core i7-4960X packed with 6 cores and 12 threads. It would feature a base core clock speed of of 3.6 GHz and a 4.0 GHz Turbo clock speed along with 15 MB of L3 cache. The Extreme Edition CPU would cost $990 which is $60 less compared to Sandy Bridge-E based Core i7-3970X. The Max TDP would drop from 150W on the 3970X to 130W on the 3960X.
