PQI sees continued DRAM module shipment growth

By

Despite the persistent drop in DRAM contract price, Power Quotient International (PQI) saw its DRAM module shipments continued picking up in May, according to sources at the company.

PQI noted that the magnitude of the price drop has been weakened compared to that in April and the company’s DRAM module shipments still enjoyed sequential growth in May. However, for NAND flash-related sales, the sources said the slow season is still impacting sales and meaningful demand should pick up only in the third quarter. Current sales breakdown between DRAM and NAND flash at PQI is 4:6, a level that is similar to the past.
