Power Color Charges $10 to be HDMI Ready

By

Wondering how much extra money HDMI will add to the overall cost of HDMI supported video cards? Fudo over at The Inq. went out asked asked some companies and found that for an ATI Radeon X1600 adding HDMI will only up the price $10, which isn’t bad.

It turns out that HDMI-capable X1600 cards are set to cost a very acceptable $119 apiece. The regular X1600 costs $109, so this will be a slight $10 price increase, nothing to get overly worried about. But were advised that there is a big chance that the card bundle won’t include the HDMI cable and we found this quite unreasonable, as whoever buys such a card will need a HDMI cable as well.
