It’s easy to forget that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is still in early access for PC with its wild popularity. If you have been wondering when it would become a full game, we now have a date. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will exit early access and move to version 1.0 on December 20, 2017.

The announcement was made during the Game Awards 2017 show by PUBG Corp. CEO Chang-han Kim. The game has sold over 24 million copies at $30 per copy and continues to sell in droves. The game was also the first title to beat out Valve’s own games for concurrent users and has continued to grow.

PUBG also has a new map that will launch on the game test servers called Miramar. That map will launch at 1 am PST 12-8-17. The official map will be available when the game enters version 1.0 on PC.

It will reportedly be sometime in 2018 before that map lands for Xbox One owners. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was up for several awards at the show but took none home reports DigitalTrends.
