Overwatch Anniversary: May 23rd to June 17

By

It has been a long year with the toxicity levels rising swiftly in our oceans and the gaming community of Overwatch (salt joke ommited). We saw players leave a number of their favorite titles to jump into the Blizzard’s Overwatch universe and go crazy over their favorite heroes at events. Overwatch‘s YouTube channel recently released a video to celebrate the one year Overwatch Anniversary and announce the event that will take place on May23rd to June 17th. A great addition to this news is that (for those of us who don’t have a copy of Overwatch), you’ll be able to play Overwatch for free from May 26th-29th. That way, you’ll be able to test the gameplay (if you haven’t already) as well as participate in the anniversary event.

The video below features a number of the things that the Overwatch community has been delivered with over the past year including a snippet of newly added heroes such as Ana, Sombra, and Orisa. For those of us who weren’t there, you missed out on some fun events like the Halloween event (Junkenstein’s Revenge).

Our friends at Overwatch have yet to announce the details regarding the anniversary event but it’s coming up soon so we can expect something fun hidden up their sleeves. Many of us would probably be content if they could just penalize toxic players a little more.
