OCZ Working on Next Generation of Barefoot 3 SSDs

Nordic Hardware has a news story up today about how OCZ is working on the Vertex 5 SSD and that it will likely be using a Barefoot 3 controller like the new Vector SSD series. Legit Reviews contacted OCZ today for comment about this news story and they told us that they “are working on the next generation of Barefoot 3, but it won’t be Vertex 5.” So there you have it, the OCZ Vertex 5 won’t be using the next generation Barefoot 3 controller!
