nVidia SLI Graphics Coming to Laptops Q1 2006

By

Fuad over at The Inq reported that he believes nVida SLI based NOTEBOOK computers will be seen in Q1 2006! He might not be too far off as we have been hearing rumors of SLI notebooks from nVidia since SLI technology was released over a year ago. Now that the Dell XPS 600 Renegade is out with Quad-SLI maybe we will see that in notebooks too!

The concept is rather simple. You take two MXM graphic modules, plug them in one of those Desktop replacement machines and you can run SLI on your notebook. Nvidia will probably make the chipset that can accommodate SLI in notebooks and we have some reason to think this board is already finished. It is Nforce 4 SLI for notebooks. Of course, the ODMs will make the notebooks with SLI and companies will just put their stickers on the notebooks and claim that their design is the best one. That?s how the notebook business works.
