NVIDIA Quadro M6000 Graphics Cards Pictured by Deadmau5

NVIDIA made quite a buzz when they announced the GeForce GTX Titan X graphics card that is aimed at gamers at GDC, but what about a GM200 Maxwell solution for professional? An image has made its way to the Instagram account of deadmau5 that shows not one, but two NVIDIA Quadro M6000 cards in a system. It looks like the Canadian progressive-house music producer wasn’t bound by any embargo agreements and will be using the cards to produce some visuals that he is working on for upcoming shows. This should have the professions in the visual computing market excited!

We expect both cards to be detailed at NVIDIA’s GPU technology conference (GTC) next week that runs March 17-20th in San Jose, California. NVIDIA has been sitting on the ‘big’ GM200 Maxwell-based GPUs for the Quadro M6000 and GeForce GTX Titan X for years and we can’t wait to see what performance numbers these two cards will be putting down. The initial GeForce GTX Titan X performance leaks look pretty dang good though, so we have our hopes up! We are hopeful that the fallout from the GM200 binning will trickle down into the top end GTX series cards this year too as it would be nice to see a GeForce GTX 980 Ti come to market just ahead of the AMD Radeon R9 390X that is reportedly going to happen in June 2015 right around Computex. The current GeForce GTX 970/980 series cards use the GM204 GPU, so it would make sense to use the larger GM200 if there were to be something else placed on top of the current sub $1000 product stack.
