NVIDIA GeForce 364.72 WHQL Video Card Drivers Are Oculus Rift Ready

The Oculus Rift is finally here got those that want to be on the cutting edge of VR and have $599 to spend. The Oculus Rift requires a high-end graphics card as the Rift is a tad more than seven times more demanding GPU running 1920×1080 at 30 FPS. You ideally want to be running VR content at over 90 FPS to make sure nothing stutters and cause motion sickness or other discomforts. NVIDIA today released GeForce Game Ready 364.72 WHQL drivers that are a must for Oculus Rift owners as they minimize latency, improve performance and add support for VRWorks. GeForce 374.72 drivers also support the HTC Vive Virtual Reality headset that launches next week as well as general support for Dark Souls III, Killer Instinct, Quantum Break and Paragon Early Access.

Virtual reality is here! This Game Ready driver brings full support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, optimizations and enhancements for virtual reality games such as EVE: Valkyrie, Chronos, and Elite Dangerous, and the latest support for NVIDIA VRWorks. Make sure your PC is GeForce GTX VR Ready before stepping into the Rift!

The new driver also brings the latest support and enhancements for the upcoming HTC Vive headset.
