Nforce 5, C19 to arrive in April
While everyone is referring to it as NForce 5, we have it on good authority that this isn’t the case. Expect some sort of NForce 4 nomiclature
“ AT LEAST some Nforce 5 motherboards should be available in April. We looked at some secret plans and mysteriously saw C19 based motherboard scheduled for April. This board, as we wrote earlier, is going to support Nvidia’s somewhat exciting SLI marchitecture.
Yes, those boards will have two PCI Express graphic slots and will finally bring SLI to Dell and all the others who only want to use Pentium 4s. We don?t need to say that this marchitecture works with 775 P4 CPUs.
As we said in our earlier story, Nforce 5 will have a south bridge as well. We explained before that Pentium 4 chipsets have memory controller and it’s very likely that this south bridge will feature Azalia like audio. We believe that Nvidia plans to replace C19 codename with Nforce 5 as a commercial name. That could change.”
