MySpace Announces IM Service

MySpace today officially announced the beta launch of MySpace’s instant messaging service, MySpaceIM. MySpaceIM, which has been in use for over a year by users, is the first in a series of enhanced products and services announced to unveil over the coming months to make it more efficient for MySpace users to express themselves and connect with friends.
More than 17 million global MySpace users have installed the beta service, making it one of the most popular and unique instant messaging tools in the world. The beta has been spreading virally on MySpace since its soft launch a year ago and in the last six months alone has grown more than 250 percent.
