Sept. 17, 2013 D-Link today announced that its mydlink Cloud Service has topped one million registered users. mydlink, including the mydlink portal and suite of mydlink apps, adds unmatched value to D-Links award-winning line of Cloud Cameras, Cloud Routers and Cloud Storage devices, enabling consumers and small business users to access their D-Link devices and stream media remotely over the Internet via virtually any computer, iPhone or iPador Androiddevice.

People around the world use mydlink-enabled Cloud Cameras to check on a sleeping baby from the kitchen, look after elderly family members, or just see whats happening in the back yard anytime, day or night. In addition, new mydlink-enabled Cloud Routers offer consumers next-generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi speeds for uninterrupted video streaming, online gaming, and VoIP calling, and the ability to view browsing history or block wireless devices to monitor usage within a household. mydlink makes it easy to do all these things and more, with support for up to 99 devices per user account.

A new mydlink-enabled Cloud Camera or Cloud Router device needs to be registered with mydlink in order to use the service. Once the device is physically plugged in and connected to the network it can be configured from the setup wizard on a Windows PC or Mac. A free mydlink account can be created during the setup process, or the device can be added to an existing account. Once activated, the mydlink account is accessible from a web browser on any Internet-connected computer. Optionally, the free mydlink Lite and other mydlink apps can be installed on a smartphone or tablet for remote access, device management and media streaming any time, anywhere.

The full suite of mydlink mobile apps, including mydlink Lite for iPhone and iPod Touch and mydlink+ for iPad, are now available on the App Store. The Android versions of both apps can be found on Google Play. Windows Phone apps will be available in late Fall.
