MSI reportedly to layoff 10-20% of employees in early 2010

Micro-Star International (MSI) reportedly plans to lay off employees in early 2010 with the number accounting for 10-20% of its current personnel, according to industry sources. MSI has denied the rumors.

Business units and departments with excess or overlapping staff will be the major targets, while employees responsible for netbook, notebook and graphics card sales are also under evaluation. Since the company’s layoffs are aimed at eliminating employees with unsatisfactory performance, the company will continue to hire new employees to replace the gap.
