Microsoft Office 365 Lands on Mac App Store

By

Fans of Microsoft Office that happen to be fans of the Mac will be glad to hear that Office 365 is now available on the Mac App Store. The launch marks the first time that Office 365 has been available on the Mac App Store. The launch will make it easier for Mac users to download Microsoft’s popular productivity suite.

Users can purchase a subscription to Office 365 from within the apps allowing users to be up and running instantly. Microsoft baked features into Office 365 that make it unique for Mac users. The features include Dark Mode and Continuity Camera.

Office 365 also supports the Mac Pro touch Bar and the Mac Trackpad. We are excited to welcome Microsoft Office 365 to the all-new Mac App Store in macOS Mojave, said Phil Schiller, Apples senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. Apple and Microsoft have worked together to bring great Office productivity to Mac users from the very beginning. Now, with Office 365 on the Mac App Store, it’s easier than ever to get the latest and best version of Office 365 for Mac, iPad, and iPhone.

There is no indication that pricing on the Mac will be different than Windows pricing for Office 365. That should mean $99.99 per year for Office 365 Home, $69.99 yearly for Office 365 Personal, and $149.99 as a one time purchase for Office Home and Student 2019.
