Logitech MX518 Gaming Mouse Returns with Updates

By

Logitech has announced that its MX518 gaming mouse has returned. The updated mouse has new hardware inside, but retains the same shape and feel that made the MX518 a classic for users around the world. Under the hood are a new HERO 16K sensor and a 32-bit ARM processor.

The updated MX518 has a 1ms report rate and eight programmable buttons for binding custom commands. The onboard memory allows users to save their preferences to the mouse to use on different computers without needing to install software and configure the mouse again.

Logitech gave the mouse updated styling on the outside with a new “Nightfall” finish that gives the mouse a new look. If you are wondering about sensitivity, the HERO 16K sensor has a range of 100-16,000 DPI.

That sensor offers over 400 IPS across its entire DPI range with no smoothing, filtering, or acceleration. DPI settings can be changed on the fly. Up to five memory profiles can be saved, and the mouse supports both Windows and Mac operating systems. Preorders are underway for $59.99.
