Kingston Shows Prototype HyperX Predator PCIe x4 SSD

By

Have you been waiting for Kingston to come out with a PCIe SSD with x4 connectivity and insane transfer rates? Meet the Kingston HyperX Predator PCIe SSD that was unveiled last night at Digital Experience during CES 2014! Kingston will be using the new LSI SandForce SF-3700 controller on this drive, which is capable of blazing 1.8GB/s speeds! Not many details on this drive were available as this was a non-working prototype and the retail product won’t be coming to market until late Q2 or the second half of 2014, depending on who we talked to. The Kingston HyperX Predator will be offered in various capacities up to 2TB and will ultimately use either the SF3739 or SF3759 controller.
