Intel Shows Off CloverTrail+ Performance on Lenovo IdeaPhone K900

The Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 debuted at CES 2013 and was one of the most talked about Smartphones at the show. Lenovo wouldn’t say what processor was inside, but it turned out to be the first phone to use the Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor. This is one of the first devices to run Intel’s unannounced CloverTrail+ architecture!

This morning we ran across a video that François Piednoël from Intel uploaded a video of this phone running Epic’s Citadel for Android at 1080p and it looks great. He also showed Performance Report Texturemark running in ‘free mode’ and everything was running smoothly. No benchmarks like AnTuTu or Quadrant were run, but it looks like Intel is gearing up for a battle with ARM in the smartphone business. We all saw it coming, but it has begun!
