Intel Ice Lake 10nm+ Processors Teased As Coming
It looks like Intel has leaked some information about the successor to the 8th generation Intel Core processor series! Intel has a page up for a new series of processors called ‘Ice Lake’ described as the ‘successor to the 8th generation Intel Core processor family’ and that has the internet a buzz. Intel still hasn’t shipped its first 10-nanometer processors, but it looks like is is already teasing us with the what they have coming down the pipe. teasing the next batch. When Intel Ice Lake processors are coming is unknown, but most believe that Cannon Lake will arrive sometime in 2018, so that would put Ice Lake either late 2018 or 2019.

In recent years we’ve had Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Broadwell, Haswell, Skylake, with Kaby Lake processors. We are getting ready for the introduction of Coffee Lake processors on August 21st, but that appears to be based on 14nm. Intel has three processes on 14nm: 14, 14+, and 14++ and the new desktop coffee lake parts are expected to be using the 14nm++ process.
