Intel Graphics Team Introduces Windows Modern Driver

By

Intel has introduced new graphics drivers, version 25.20.100.6444, that is Intel’s first Windows Modern Driver. One of the recent changes in the latest Windows 10 v1809 Update that hasn’t gotten much attention was the fact that Microsoft is moving to the use of Windows Modern Drivers. Intel now has a Universal Windows driver package that is capable of running across multiple devices with Intel graphics.

Intel Graphics Drivers

The new graphics driver only support Windows 10 64-bit and is available to download now for those running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and later. Rather than seeing four different download files on the Intel site you’ll just find one driver in the .exe format to download. It also adds 12 new game titles to the automatic game tuning feature introduced earlier this year. This driver also contains the latest optimizations for Artifact, Farming Simulator 2019, and Eternal Card Game.

New Features in Intel Graphics Driver Version 25.20.100.6444:

  • Automatic Game Tuning Feature Updates now supports Fallout 4, Far Cry 5, FIFA 18, Paladins, Path of Exile, The Sims 4, Smite, Borderlands 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2, PLAYERUNKNOWNS BATTLEGROUNDS, Rocket League, and The Witcher 3.
  • Reduces RAM consumption when using OpenGL.
