How many iPhones did Apple sell? While neither it nor AT&T were saying, analysts estimated as many as 700,000.
AT&T said the two partners sold more iPhones in a weekend than AT&T has sold of any gadget ever in an entire month. Chief Executive Steve Jobs said Apple planned to sell 10 million iPhones in all of next year. Apple took 18 months until it was able to sell a half million iPods in any one quarter.
