Benchmark Results: No article would be complete without Futuremark 3DMark, so we ran 3DMark06 with standard settings on all of the platforms. The AMD 690G is again at a major disadvantage since it doesn’t support Shader Model 3.0, but it still remains competitive with the Intel G965 chipset. Once all the graphics solutions have all the features AMD takes the lead across the board.

According to 3DMark06, AMD Radeon HD graphics performance has improved nearly 19x since the AMD 690G motherboard was released on February 28, 2007. Intel graphics
performance has improved nearly 6x since the Intel G965 motherboard was
released on February 13, 2007.
