Halo Infinite to be a Project Scarlett Launch Title

Lots of cool information came out of E3 2019 from Microsoft on the Project Scarlett next-gen console. One of the tidbits also gave up some details on the Halo infinite game with confirmation that it will be a Project Scarlett launch title and will launch holiday 2020.

It has been a long time since a Halo game was a console launch title. The last time was all the way back in 2001 with Halo: Combat Evolved. Halo Infinite is being developed at 343 Industries and runs on the Slipspace game engine.

That is a new game engine for the developer. Studio director Chris Lee says that Halo Infinite might not have been possible on the previous game engine. The Slipspace engine is aiming at supporting titles for the next decade.

No actual gameplay has been seen of Halo Infinite. The trailer shown at E3 has been confirmed to have been the opening cinematic for the game showing Master Chief hurt reports GameSpot.
