Although recent market observations noted that the graphics card market is facing problems due to the trend of notebooks replacing desktop PCs, and IGP (integrated graphics processor) performance continuously improving, sources at first-tier graphics card makers remain optimistic and believe that the market should see a boost in the second quarter of 2008.

With Windows Vista SP1 and more DirectX 10-based games scheduled to launch in 2008, demand for DirectX 10-based graphics cards should see a boost, noted the sources.
