The top of the Silent Spirit is dominated by its main 100mm fan. This quiet fan was never audible during testing.

The machined base of the Silent Spirit was level and free of tooling marks. The scratch in the image was caused by my Phenom II IHS.

The four heatpipes emerge from the base and form a tight curve before entering the heatsink fins.

You can easily see how the fins of the heatsink have a dimple pattern. This is no accident; it increases turbulence and increases heat transfer efficiency.

With the 100.2mm fan removed from the CPU cooler you can see the unique arrangement of aluminum fins that are used to dissipate the heat from the heat pipes.

The Silent Spirit cleared all the ram slots on my ECS X58B-A motherboard and provided ample cooling across the mosfet heatpipe.

The Silent Spirit also easily cleared the ram slots on my Gigabyte GA-790GP-DS4H while also cooling the northbridge and mosfet heatsinks.

The image above shows how the angle of the heatsink directs airflow over hot components on the motherboard.
