Foxconn reports record high revenues for 2007

By

Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) said its revenues grew 42.5% on year to reach a new high of NT$1.237 trillion (US$38 billion) in 2007, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE). The company’s revenues of NT$149.34 billion in December set a record high for the sixth straight month, up 58.2% on year, the company said.

Strong shipments of PC products and communications devices helped drive revenue growth in December, the Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted company spokesman Edmund Ding as indicating. The paper quoted sources at securities houses as saying that Foxconn was expected to see after-tax profits of NT$85 billion, or NT$13 per share, in 2007.
