Foxconn reportedly to build China headquarters in Shanghai

Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has purchased a 10,000-square-meter parcel of land in an upscale area of Shanghai on which it will construct its China headquarters, according to Taiwan’s Chinese-language Commercial Times.

Meanwhile, construction of Foxconn’s global research and development center in Tucheng, Taiwan has been completed, and in the next three years the company plans to invest NT$12 billion (US$369.8 million) in the center, which will have a workforce of over 3,000 employees, the paper added.
