By

When E3 rolls around this summer fans of Fortnite will want to be paying attention. Reports indicate that 100 celebrities and professional athletes will be on hand to play the game and that top players of the game will be along for the ride. The event will be called the Fortnite Party Royale reports CinemaBlend.

Celebrities playing with Fortnite celebs is a big deal of late. Rapper Drake played with popular Fortnite player Ninja and busted records for watchers. The two racked up 600,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch. Presumably, the Fortnite Party Royale will be broadcast on twitch or a similar service and with 50 celebs teamed up with 50 gamers it should be a big deal.

Epic is said to be working on building up the teams right now. There is no indication of what celebs will be there or what gamers will be paired with them.

Epic has also said that there will be an announcement in the coming weeks talking up the first season of competitive play for the game. Fortnite has been incredibly popular of late and fans will be thrilled to hear this news.
