LIVERPUDLIAN FIRM Brainboxes said it has completed 64-bit drivers for Windows XP 64, and Windows Server 2003 64 bit.

The firm said it has drivers ready for its PCI serial and parallel port cards, and will ship them with its current range of products.

Eamonn Walsh, MD of Brainboxes, said: “We expect the move to 64-bit systems to be rapid, driven largely by the need for higher end server and high speed gaming applications”.

He said his firm believes that the 16TB possible storage that the 64-bit systems support will boost graphics, modelling, databases and games.”
