Fallout 76 Details Offered at Quakecon 2018

The video at the end of this story is a Q&A session that was held at Quakecon 2018 for the highly anticipated game Fallout 76. The session offered up some details about what to expect from the game and one of the coolest things is what appears to be the best anti-griefing system that has ever been used in a video game. In Fallout 76 you can walk around killing other players and generally being an asshat if you want.

You can issue challenges to other players and if they accept any kill you make won’t impact you or your own loot. However, if you kill another player without issuing a challenge, which can be done, you become a Wanted Murderer. This is where things get bad for you.

As a Wanted Murderer a bounty is placed on your head and your location is marked on the minimap for all players to see. If they come and kill you back, the bounty is paid directly out of your own money stash. The person you killed sans challenge can opt to do a few things reports Nerdist.

The first thing is that the player can block you. The player you kill can also choose to seek sweet, sweet revenge on you to earn a double reward. The third thing the other player can do is choose to just let it go and keep playing. It sounds as if trolling will be costly in Fallout 76.
