Epic Games Store Lands Metro Exodus Exclusive

By

Valve isn’t very happy right now, its newest and strongest competitor, the Epic Games Store, has just landed an exclusive game. The game was originally supposed to land on Steam and is called Metro Exodus. The game will now be available exclusively through the Epic Games Store at launch and will be removed from Steam.

Gamers who have pre-ordered the game via Steam already will still get their game. If you pre-ordered the game and future DLC content, the DLC will be offered as well. Epic has a full year of exclusivity with the game.

Purchases via Steam and other digital platforms are banned until February 14, 2020. That is a full calendar year after the launch date for the game. Steam is unhappy about the move and has called it “unfair” reports Engadget.

Steam’s cries of unfairness likely won’t sway game publishers who are tired of the large portion of profits that Steam demands. The Epic Games Store has been taking every game it can from Steam; one such title is the Division 2.
