Elemental Technologies Announces the Elemental GPU Server
Elemental Technologies today announced the technical preview of its newest encoding innovation, enabling broadcasters to stream live video and audio to new media platforms. Elemental is partnering with iStreamPlanet, a leading provider of digital media strategy, services and software applications, to demonstrate GPU-powered HD live video streaming for the first time. Consistent with Elemental’s product suite, the technical preview uses the power of graphics processing units (GPUs) to produce up to four 1080p streams in real-time, giving content distributors unprecedented transmission density with higher performance and lower costs than are currently available in conventional solutions.
