EA and Insomniac Games launch Fuse Demo on May 7

Electronic Arts Inc. and Insomniac Games announced today the release of Fuse, an action packed co-op shooter. This demo will be available on May 7 for Microsoft Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. The demo will allow gamers to play cooperatively online up to 4 players or in a 2 player split screen. Gamers will take on the role of four elite operatives –Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble, and Naya Deveraux in a mission to protect mankind from a deadly alien source known as Fuse which has been stolen from a rouge paramilitary organization known as Raven. Each character have their own individual and unique “Xenotech” weapon and specialized skills which will gamers a unique gameplay experience. Fuse will be release for Sony PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Microsoft Xbox 360 entertainment system on May 28 in North America and May 31 in Europe for $59.99.

When it comes to Fuse, the biggest thing weve noticed when sharing it with others for the first time is that playing is believing, said Ted Price, CEO and founder of Insomniac Games. Fuse takes four player co-op in a new direction with features you wont find in other third person shooters: from LEAP where you can jump between each of the four unique agents at will to the experimental Xenotech weapons to the deep RPG-like character progression system.
