DJI Reveals New Handheld Camera Stabilizers

DJI Osmo StabilizersDJI has introduces their second generation of Osmo Mobile series handheld stabilizers for smartphones at this years CES 2018. The Osmo Mobile 2 and Ronin-S were designed for smartphone, DSLRs, and mirrorless camera systems and can give consumers, professional videographers and photographers a great new tool to capture smooth, steady videos wherever they travel.

DJI Osmo Mobile 2 can now be used with mobile phones in portrait or vertical orientation to help record Instagram Stories video. Unlike previous models, the Osmo Mobile 2 now functions on internal batteries that work for up to 15 hours a huge jump over the previous version than lasted only about 4 hours.

Using a lightweight design that supports portrait orientation, with simpler controls with cinematic zoom, a longer battery life for more filming, and intelligent features to help you share a professional-looking story wherever you go.

DJI plans to market the Osmo Mobile 2 later in January by offering it exclusively on Apple.com site. In early February, Osmo Mobile 2 will be available on the DJI.com website and retail for $169 CAD.

DJI Ronin-S

In addition to the Osmo Mobile 2, DJI also announced the Ronin-S, which DJI claims is the first handheld stabilizer designed for DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Ronin-S will be compatible with DJI Pro Accessories like Focus Control Center which allows advanced gimbal and focus control, DJI Master Force and DJI Master Wheels which are external focus motors. A dual-handle support will also be available for added stability is needed.

Ronin-S: DJI’s first single-handed stabilizer for DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras. Built for efficient setup and ease of use with a compact form and dedicated buttons to control camera settings and precise positioning, plus intelligent features for advanced shooting modes all designed to help bring a steady shot to any set.
