DFI and Ibase see sales of arcade game machines grow

I know many of our readers know that DFI makes enthusiast motherboards, but did you know that they also make mainboards for things like arcade game machines? It’s a big part of their revenue! Digitimes is reporting today that Taiwan-based industrial PC makers DFI and Ibase Technology saw shipments of arcade game machines grow in February, their estimated revenues dropped on month.

Mainly due to booming sales of arcade game machines, DFI’s sales revenue from ACP (applied computing platform) product lines in February increased by 27% on year, in sharp contrast to a 83% decrease in sales revenue from PC motherboards, the company indicated. Apart from additional orders from existing clients, DFI has received orders for arcade game machines from new clients, the company said.
