Dell begins early with making headlines in the promotional area of CES 2017. They start with showing off their slim Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor and new convertible model of the XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop.

Although the precise specs have yet to be unveiled, Dell claims the Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor has the worlds overall thinnest profile. What is known is the monitor has a 27 inch display and uses Dells InfinityEdge for ultra-thin bezels to minimize the entire monitor size. The monitor is slim and compact throughout, even where control buttons are typically present.

What Dell has revealed thus far for the Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor are:

  • Built-in USB Type-C connectivity, ComfortView and a flicker-free screen
  • Simple, intelligent design with connectivity hub located at the rear of stand base, eliminating unsightly cables on the desk

The 2,560 x 1,440 pixel QHD panel supports HDR10. This makes the monitor impressive with high range of vivid colors. Although the monitor is compact, it still holds a connectivity hubwhich includes USB Type-C connectivity to minimize cable clutter. Additionally, Dells ComfortView features a flicker free screen. Customers may purchase the Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor in the United States starting March 23rd 2017 for $699.99. A worldwide release will follow shortly after.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is a convertible version of the Dell XPS 13 laptop. The Dell XPS 13 holds the most individual product awards than any other Dell device in the 32 year long history. With such an impressive accomplishment, Dell now introduces the new XPS 13 2-in-1 to continue in the right direction. The XPS 13 2-in1 being a convertible laptop, it adds improvements with flexibility and portability. The XPS 13 2-in1 is thinner than the XPS 13 and has a 360-degree hinge to allow optimal views.

As you can see, Dell claims the XPS 13 2-in1 is the worlds smallest 13 inch 2-in-1 with batter life up to 15 hours. The 3,200 x 1,800 pixel display resolution of the InfinityEdge HDR10 is QHD+ and is touch compatible. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 features a 7th Gen Intel Core vPro processor with options of either an Core i5 or Core i7 Kaby Lake processor. The RAM accessible may be configured between 4GB-16GB along with a 128GB SSD.

The Dell XPS 13 2-in1 will be available January 5th of 2017 on Dell.com and at Best Buy in the United States and worldwide shortly after. The starting price for the convertible XPS 13 2-in1 will be at $999.99.
