Dell reportedly cuts advertising for MTV’s reality show ‘Jersey Shore’

“Jersey Shore” may be a hit for MTV, but a number of corporate sponsors are not happy with the show’s portrayal of Italian-Americans. Domino’s Pizza and American Family Insurance already withdrew their ads from the show, and now computer company Dell looks to be following suit. According to reports Dell wants to let the world know they do not “condone or support ethnic bashing in any form.” The company goes on to say that they will attempt to block commercials during the program in any way they can.

“Jersey Shore” has remained in the headlines pretty much since its premiere for both his controversial premise and a shocking scene where one cast member (nicknamed “Snooki”) was punched in the face by a man while at a bar. The scene was ultimately never aired during an actual episode, but it was used as a promotional tool.
