Custom AMD Navi GPUs Will Come Two Months After Reference Cards

By

The AMD Navi graphics cards are official at Computex 2019 with the launch date set for July. If you are the sort of gamer who likes to get the overclocked cards from the factory, you will have to wait a little longer. Word came from Computex that reference cards will come in July, and overclocked cards about eight weeks later.

That means roughly two months of delay from the launch of the stock clocked Navi cards and when the factory overclocked cards land according to Sapphire. Sapphire fans will be glad to hear that the company is bringing back its Toxic line of cards.

The Toxic cards historically where high-speced cards with impressive performance. There were no Toxic cards with the last gen of GPUs from AMD.

Sapphire promises the Toxic card will bring additional performance over the reference cards. It’s not clear just how much additional performance we will see. The overclockers out there can see what performance they can squeeze out of the reference card rather than wait for the factory overclocked cards.
