SANTA CLARA, Calif. August 25, 2014 Citrix today released the new version of GoToMeeting Free, its increasingly popular online meeting tool that is accessible from Chrome or Mozilla browser without any new software, plug-ins or download required.

The latest version of GoToMeeting Free offers screen sharing for project collaboration and custom URLs that can be claimed at free.gotomeeting.com. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox users can also now use GoToMeeting Free to communicate in 25 different languages, with up to three participants, from any desktop. Modern Android mobile devices are now officially supported too.

GoToMeeting Free is an easy way to connect instantly, whether its reviewing projects with colleagues or classmates, getting face-to-face time to do a client presentation, or connecting with distant family and friends across the globe to share photos. Unique from consumer video chat tools like Google Hangouts and Skype, GoToMeeting Free allows you to launch or join a GoToMeeting Free session with no separate download is required. In addition, you can now get a personalized URL to share, and anyone can join within 2 seconds without any account creation required

We first launched GoToMeeting Free to address consumers interest in a lightweight version of GoToMeeting that could be used to meet instantly, said Phillip Chambers, product manager, GoToMeeting. The new feature set makes it even more useful for virtually any situation but without any extra cost.

To start using GoToMeeting Free on Chrome or Firefox, just click to free.gotomeeting.com from the browser, select Start the Meeting to generate a unique URL, then invite other participants to join the video call.
