CES 2014 – Samsung Product Showcase
Samsung is a world leader in electronics. Their product line includes tablets, laptops, monitors, televisions, cellular devices and many more. At the product showcase, they demonstrated their latest development in the Galaxy Tab line, the Galaxy Tab Pro.
Following the Galaxy tab line, the Tab Pro is based on Android 4.4, aka KitKat. This is the latest version of the Android operating system and it shows. On the back is an 8 Megapixel camera, where the front has a 2 megapixel camera. The Tab Pro will have Samsung’s custom UI, and have features we have come to expect from the Tab line which includes MicroSD, 10 hour battery, and a beautiful screen.
So, what are the differences between the Tab 3 and Tab Pro line? The Tab Pro line will have higher specifications, which includes a more powerful CPU and a greatly increased resolution. The Tab Pro line will have a screen resolution of 2560×1600 with a pixel density of 359. Several models of the Tab Pro line will have the Snapdragon 800 processor, while others will have Samsungs Exynos 5 processor.
Like the Tab 3 line, the Tab Pro will be offered in several sizes, 8.2″, 10.1″ and 12.2″. While there is no official word on what the Pro line will cost, it is expected that the 12.2″ will retail around $649 for the base 32GB model.
